  • Hello I am in ophthalmologist from Hawaii currently with OMIC insurance for my malpractice. Is it correct that if I attend either one of these sessions listed above, either the one that starts at 11:35 or the one that starts at 1:30. I get 5% off my OMIC insurance when I renew? Also if I am a member of the state society ( Hawaii Ophthalmology society ) I get an additional 5% off for a total of 10% off? Also, do I need to pre-register for these events? Or just show up and sign in and attend. Thank you so much!

    • Hello Dr Yim: I sent you a more detailed email a few minutes ago. Check your email. Yes, you do earn the higher discount of 10% because of your membership in the HOS and you can attend either OMIC session. Refer to my email for more information.
      Thank you,
      L. Nakamura

Six reasons OMIC is the best choice for ophthalmologists in America.

#1. Consistent return of premium.

Publicly-traded insurance companies exist to make profits for shareholders while physician-owned carriers often return profits to their policyholders. Don’t underestimate this benefit; it can add up to tens of thousands of dollars over the course of your career. OMIC has one of the most generous dividend programs for ophthalmologists and has returned more than $20 Million to our members through dividends.
