Policyholder Services

What happens to my coverage if I cancel?

Because your policy is issued on a claims made and reported basis, you will need to purchase an extended reporting period endorsement from OMIC to continue to be able to report to us claims that arise from services you rendered while you were insured with us. Or, you may purchase prior acts coverage from your new carrier, if it is available.

#4. Largest insurer in the U.S.

OMIC is the largest insurer of ophthalmologists in the United States and we've been the only physician-owned carrier to continuously offer coverage in all states since 1987 (pending in WI).
