If I’m new to OMIC, do I get the new doctor discount?

Only if you are in your first, second, or third year of practice following completion of training or military service. This discount is reserved for physicians entering practice for the first time. Even if you don’t qualify for the new doctor discount, you will be rated at the lower first year step-rate if you were insured under an occurrence policy immediately prior to joining OMIC or if you purchase “tail” coverage from your prior claims made and reported carrier.
