Does my policy need to be endorsed for coverage of laser lipolysis?

Physicians are automatically covered under the standard Surgery Class 3 rating classification, whether using more traditional techniques such as tumescent liposuction or newer, less invasive techniques such as ultrasonic (ultrasound-assisted) lipolysis or laser-assisted lipolysis to remove fat cells through liquefaction. Chemical lipolysis and other non-invasive techniques such as cold-assisted lipolysis and use of infrared/RF energy is covered under Surgery Class 3.  No special questionnaire, underwriting, or endorsement is required.
