I have been asked to perform cataract surgery on a dog. Would my OMIC policy respond in the event of a claim?

Your OMIC policy is intended to cover professional services rendered to human patients only. Services rendered to animals falls outside the scope of licensure as a medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO). To be legally authorized to render medical services to animals, one must be licensed as a veterinarian and should obtain professional liability coverage specifically designed for veterinary services.
