Plan Ahead For Your OMIC Risk Management Discount

August 14, 2020

OMIC renews insureds’ policies and issues premium invoices well ahead of their effective dates in order to provide the best customer service to our policyholders and to meet their credentialing requirements.

In order for OMIC to provide the most accurate invoice at the time of renewal, we encourage policyholders to complete their risk management courses 75 days or more prior to the actual renewal effective date of the policy. This ensures that your invoice will be accurate at the time of renewal.

OMIC’s Risk Management courses not only provide ophthalmic-specific patient safety and practice management strategies, but also provide premium discounts of 5% or 10% for completing those courses.

You can view our live and online courses by following these links: OMIC Live Seminars and OMIC Online and Recorded Courses.

To take advantage of this benefit, please contact our Risk Management Coordinator, Linda Nakamura, at lnakamura@omic.com or call 415-202-4652.

Six reasons OMIC is the best choice for ophthalmologists in America.

Best at defending claims.

An ophthalmologist pays nearly half a million dollars in premiums over the course of a career. Premium paid is directly related to a carrier’s claims experience. OMIC has a higher win rate taking tough cases to trial, full consent to settle (no hammer) clause, and access to the best experts. OMIC pays 25% less per claim than other carriers. As a result, OMIC has consistently maintained lower base rates than multispecialty carriers in the U.S.
