OMIC to Present Risk Management Session for Retina Specialists at ASRS2025
OMIC will participate in the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS2025), taking place July 30 to August 2 at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California. OMIC will present a breakout session focused on risk management in retina practice.
Linda D. Harrison, PhD, VP of Risk Management at OMIC, and Dr. Gaurav K. Shah, ASRS Program Chair and OMIC Board member, will co-present the session “How to Stay Out of Trouble: Risk Management Pearls for the Retina Specialist.”
The presentation will provide data-driven insights based on OMIC’s analysis of closed malpractice claims involving retina specialists. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the patterns that contribute to ophthalmic liability claims and practical strategies for mitigating risk in clinical practice. Topics include:
