Academy Performance Improvement CME: Wrong Site/Wrong IOL Surgery
Participation in this course will enable policyholders to obtain a 5% discount. Please click here to link to the Academy website CME activity. This performance improvement activity addresses wrong site surgery and wrong IOL implants. This activity provides clinical guidelines and a reenactment of real scenarios where errors can occur. The activity consists of watching online videos of practices that result in errors, assessing the practices, and using clinical guidelines to improve real practices. There are three stages for this activity: Stage A - presents videos that reflect potential errors and a chart review of your current practices; Stage B - requires implementation of AAO guidelines for 20 cataract surgical cases; Stage C - is a guided personal reflection on implementation of guidelines and resulting changes in practices.
