Coverage for an optical shop is included under your policy only after an application is submitted, reviewed, and approved. If approved for coverage, the optical shop and its employees will share liability limits with the owner-ophthalmologist/entity.

Due to state patient compensation/excess liability fund prohibitions on the sharing of liability limits, coverage is not available for optical shops in Kansas, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin.
